How a lab-grown diamond is grown
Lab-grown diamonds are usually made by chemical vapor deposition. A thin diamond seed goes into a vacuum chamber, carbon-rich gas is ignited into plasma, and carbon settles onto the seed atom by atom — layer after layer, over several weeks — until a rough diamond has formed. It is then cut, polished and graded to exactly the same standards as a mined stone. Watch the process step by step.

Yes. A lab-grown diamond is chemically, optically and physically identical to a mined one — pure crystallized carbon, the same 10/10 hardness, the same fire. The only difference is where it grew. We work in three stone lines — natural diamonds, lab-grown diamonds and moissanite — and we always tell you which one you are looking at.
Moissanite is silicon carbide — a different gem, not an imitation. It bends light harder than diamond, throws about 2.4× the rainbow fire and sits at 9.25 on the hardness scale. Natural, lab-grown and moissanite are priced per piece, and we will tell you exactly what you are buying.
